The 12-hour racing chrono…

This is a very rare and cool large-size waterproof steel chronograph from the 1950s. These Gallet Multichrons were essentially built for professional applications such as motor racing or military use and feature a 12-hour chronograph.

This particular example is called the “Jim Clark” as this reference with black dial was worn by the British Formula 1 legend whilst racing and was an official partnership between the brand and the champion driver. The dial has two scales – a tachymeter and a telemeter and is marked ‘T’ which stands for tritium.

Finding these watches is difficult in really great condition, especially when they have these screw caseback waterproof steel cases! The watch will come on the pictured Bulang and Sons strap and has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
