Rolex Day-Date 1803 Champagne Dial in 18k Yellow Gold
The Rolex Day-Date has a long and storied history. It was first introduced in 1956 and has been in continuous production since then. That means it has existed for over 65 years as of 2025.
It was the first wristwatch to display both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full on the dial, which quickly made it an icon among Rolex’s luxury watches. Over the decades, it has seen updates in movements, materials (only using precious metals), and dial designs, but it has remained a symbol of elegance and prestige.
This particular piece is a 1974 reference 1803 in 18k yellow gold. It features a lovely thick case and a fluted bezel, paired with a classy champagne-colored, soleil-finished pie-pan style dial. The dial is fitted with simple stick markers, cream-colored lume, and black-printed text. The day disc is in romantic Italian, and a beautiful Bulang & Sons strap has been fitted.
The slow setting movement has been fully serviced by our watch maker and is good for upcoming years .This is a great and versatile watch that you can enjoy experimenting with on different straps.
