Bernhard's Curated Classics
„This figurine reminds me of holidays in the Provence. A little coffee and a croissant on the place du village, while rusty Citroen 2CV pass by, honking to greet the patron. Pure relaxation!“
The rare vintage statuette which doubles as a coin bank has a timeless quality due to its metal sheen and only slight patina. The Michelin man, who actually goes by the name Bibendum or short Bib was a true hero of his time – an era when company mascots were still the way to go in advertising – and has kept his strong mojo through the ages. It was produced in a limited edition and only handed out to selected retailers in the late 80s, celebrating the companies 100 year anniversary.
This exclusive piece is in great condition and comes from a large collection of Michelin memorabilia and features the rare set up with the Baby-Bib on its arm, executed in a nice polished and patinated aluminium.
