Iconic design, outstanding quality and a great provenance. That's what we're hunting for, not only for our watches but also for our Vintage Collectors Items.
In this case we are allowed to offer a rare Prada suitcase set from the 80s. The crepa / goat leather that has been used in the Pergamena series is characterized by its unique ability to take on a wonderful patina. The detailed interior with its compartements and litlle details appears unsused as both have probably never been used as luggage and always taken care of. In general, the set has a great age-related Patina and the exact amount of authentic imperfection that has characterized the last 40 years.
This set comes from the estate of Liliana "Lalla" Simonetta. A grand dame who was jointly responsible for various formats at the Italian television station RAI. She was especially known as the art director and choreographer of Miss Italy from the late 80s to the 2000s.
She became particularly famous for a photo that was taken in 1984 while recording a RAI gala, where she sits between the then warring designers Valentino and Armani and demonstrates peace with her gesture of unity. ( See picture in gallery)
